Dr. Sher-Lu Pai is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. She has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and several book chapters, with research interests in preoperative evaluation and optimization, ambulatory anesthesia, and liver transplantation.
Dr. Pai is actively involved in national anesthesiology leadership through the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia (SAMBA). She currently serves as Chair of the ASA Educational Track Subcommittee on Ambulatory Anesthesia, a member of the ASA Committee on Annual Meeting Oversight, and a Director of SAMBA.
A frequent invited speaker at national and international meetings, Dr. Pai lectures on preoperative optimization and contributes to the advancement of the specialty through abstract and journal peer review.
